    But Lewis was not unstoppable.

Laughably you said even in his late career. Whereas it was exactly his 3rd to last opponent (Rahman) who DID in fact stop Lewis. Thoroughly outboxed him, and then viciously wasted him cold. Avenged sure, but that doesn't discount what happened in the 1st loss!

Fact is Lewis was up and down often as a HW.

When we say Wladimir or Vitali had a bad fight, what we are criticising is there method of victory, they STILL managed to win practically every single round and normally always KO their opponent.

Lewis was rocked by many of his lesser opponents, could not finish guys like MAvrovic etc and was almost bested by MErcer who should have been little more than target practice!

He was great. He was really really great. But don't try to sell me on his invincibility that was not really there. Dominant yes., that's for sure!
How was lewis being out boxed by Rahman? He was up on every scorecard up till the point he got ko'd. When he retired he was still so far in front of his opponents, he could be ko'd yes, but he would avenge it and get back on the lewis express. vitali had his shot against Lewis and lost, Wlad was a b class fighter in Lewis' era and couldn't even get a chance at lewis. There's no comparison, Lewis was much better then either.

He called out Lewis after virtually all his fights from 2000 to 2003.

            Lennox avoided him.

I've heard someone else make that claim that Rahman was being outboxed on the cards by LEnnox before the knock out. In this case watching the fight shows clearly, Lennox being handled comfortably by Rahman from opening bell to savage finish, and commentary from HBO backing my story every step of the way.

It was also obvious that Lennox could not beat Vitali under usual circumstances, hence why he retired.

Wladimir was widely considered the "heir apparent" to the HW throne.

During most of Lewis's career, Lewis was the better boxer (obviously), the Klitschko's were still green! There's a whole generation gap there.

By the time Lewis fought his last fight against Vitali, Vitali Klitschko had become the best boxer in the world and in my opinion continued to be until sometime after Wladimir had established himself the most dominant champ in history at which point Wladimir became the best fighter in the world.

As a side note, I think that, toward the end of Vitali's career, when he noticalbly had declined, I feel that David Haye in the end, might have been the second best boxer in the world for a time (until he basically decided to retire also).

They're all about equal but the most probable outcome best vs best is for Lewis top lose to both K2 really.

I hope Wilder will fight Klitschko next, but I think Haymon will likely protect him.

However, Warren/Maloney/Fury all seem willing to make Fury-Klitschko, so I think that one will be next after Jennings.

Wilder hasn't had a showcase American defense yet so I don't think it will be Klitschko.

They just had commercials for PBC with Wilder saying he's "The Heavyweight Champion of the World." So I expect maybe two PBC fights before he steps to Klitschko.

Wilder said he wanted to fight 3-4 times a year I believe so I hope Haymon makes it happen. I'm thinking Haymon is saving Wilder for the summer.

When Jennings loses to Klitschko they will probably make Wilder-Jennings on PBC then Wilder will fight some low ranking contender for a showcase before Wlad.

That is if Klitschko-Fury doesn't get made because Fury will beat up the reigning champ.

                      Wilder v Joshua.
