I have a feeling he won't get the names he needs and wants at 147 ...so he might be forced to move to 154 .....almost the same way PAul Williams had to move all the way to 159

They've been building him up for a reason. The only fighter they wouldn't want him in with is probably Danny at this point.

If he turns out to be the goods, I see no reason why they wouldn't put him in with Floyd when he's on his last legs to have boxing's new king pin when Floyd retires.

What good does a 0 on Floyd's record do for Showtime when he's retired and not making them any money?

As long as Showtime has full faith that Thurman is legitimately the real deal that can beat everyone at WW, they won't screw him. There's no reason to. He's American, charismatic, can sell a fight, and has an awesome style for the fans.

I don't think Thurman is in that stage of his career to be "officially ducked" just yet.

GBP is waiting for the right time to fully support Thurman. Right now they want to keep him on the back burner as to not match him up with their hypes like Broner, who he'd destroy and further ruin their only "star" besides Floyd. Thurman is going to have another quiet year in 2014. In 2015 I believe they'll start getting behind Thurman more and give him higher profile fights as the old hypes wear out their welcome.

thurman is another matthysse waiting to happen. yeah he has power and some skill but until he faces a legit opponent, he's just another club fighter
