Trainer Robert Garcia is putting together a strong, aggressive strategy for the biggest fight of Marcos Maidana's career. Maidana (35-3, 31KOs), fresh from his biggest career victory, a twelve round decision over Adrien Broner last December, will face Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0 26KOs) on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Garcia feels Mayweather is not very active with his punches and mainly focuses on defense, so Maidana will be working hard to throw as many punches per round as possible, as he did against Broner.
