Cool thread and cool stories !

well i am from sonora mexico so since i was very very young everyone was talking about julio cesar chavez and yori boy and some other local fighters...

I remember my dad told me a story about an amateur fight he had i was like 5 years old and since then i dreamed of being boxer myself and started watched as much boxing as i could... i still do ! and becase my mom wouldnt let me i started boxing until i left home wich was at 16 years old, althou my boxing career didnt go as good as one dreams still it was a great experience, foght amateur and pro here in mexico and even got to do sparring with some world champs wich was a dream come true for me, now i work with fighters as a physical preparator and have been in the corner of some good ones, and have learned a lot from a trainer named sendai tanaka who took me under his wing a couple of years ago.

I fell in love with this sport when i was a little kid and i still am until today hahaha

        First time to post here.

I started following boxing when my dad was watching Tyson vs. Briggs, followed by occasional visit to watching it live at Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City back in the Philippines.

I never started watching boxing until I was 15, which was last year. My uncles were always into boxing. My dad was having a carne asada for Canelo-trout. I decided to give boxing a try. I got hooked ever since watching that fight

Ive always had an eye on boxing but never really followed it all that closely until the Ortiz vs Lopez fight. I saw a guy in Lopez who was a last minute replacement fight the fight of his life against all odds and come out victorious. You dont get that type of theater or drama from any other sport. Ive been hooked ever since

After Douglas/Tyson and Chavez/Taylor (within the same month I believe) I was hooked. Most exciting sporting events I ever saw.

I saw the Canelo weigh-in for his first fight back in 2005.

Been searching for the next ATG Snake since.
