I'm just joking..I did not think either fight was a robbery, although last night(Garcia fight)one of the judges was way off..

I prefer Garcia's 150 vs 80 power punches, rather than Herrera's jab advantage.
With that said, Herrera came to fight(and hold a lot), but I thought Garcia won 7-5.Last edited by Jewel; 03-16-2014, 02:45 PM.

Then there is the whole group think thing and if most people are scoring in a lackadaisical way it just feeds itself, so putting in effort to actually judge a fight properly was always wasted effort and worse made me put in effort to try and explain my point of view to people who are totally not receptive.
However I know close rounds when I see them and when you have rounds that are close or even fairly close for that matter the subjective element of judging comes in and people can see the same thing very differently.
i'm with you, homie. scoring fights is almost like work.
i watch boxing because i enjoy the hell out of it. scoring a fight, and focusing entirely on scoring during live broadcasts, takes away from my entertainment. i watch most of the big fights several times over the course of the following weeks, and if i feel the need, i'll produce a scorecard.

Rd 1: 10-9 Garcia. Pretty clear Garcia round.
Rd 2: 19-19 Even. Close round, could see people scoring it for Garcia
Rd 3: 29-28 Herrera. Nobody really did anything, Herr a just enough.
Rd 4: 38-38 Even. Close round, no problem if someone scored it Herrera.
Rd 5: 48-47 Herrera.
Rd 6: 57-57 Even. Danny out worked him, strong jab in closing seconds didn't steal round for Herrera IMO
Rd 7: 67-66 Herrera. Clear Herrera round, easiest round to score since 1st.
Rd 8: 77-75 Herrera. I guess I could see people scoring this round for Garcia but it is kind of a stretch.
Rd 9: 87-84 Herrera.
Rd 10: 96-94 Herrera. Effective flurries and counters in second half of round take it for Garcia.
Rd 11: 105-104 Herrera. Clear Garcia round.
Rd 12: 115-113 Herrera. Clear Herrera round.
I scored it for Herrera, but I can see a draw or even a Garcia win. Bad cards from those two judges although we should all be used to seeing lopsided cards.
