Who is More Overrated, Canelo or Broner?

canelo's chin has never been tested and has no consistent fighting style, maybe he doesn't have the stamina. he loves to throw power punches but lacks the handspeed. he also has little or no footwork at all. defense is average at best.

broner's been tested but failed to step up to the plate. his defense isn't as good as many people said and has mediocre footwork. he has handspeed and accuracy but his inside game is pathetic and clintches his way out of danger.

both fighters were suppose to be the next face of boxing.

i pick broner just because of the fact his defense ain't that good.

Broner was more overrated, but Maidana ended that.

Alvarez is more overrated right now.

Canelo chin been tested by Cotto, Has been tested skill wise against Trout, he failed against Mayweather No knock on him really Mayweather is surperior boxer and he tried to solely try to out box him.

Broner has had no real step up fight that people thought he won, Ponce majority thought he lost, Paulie majority thought he lost, Maidana he true step up fight he lost badly.

See Canelo is really not overrated, he just is extermely popular because his mexican, young and was undeafeated till the mayweather bout.

Broner is overrated, people where actually calling him a defensive wizard, comparing him to this and that and his popularity was off of the hype they gave him off Him being overrated as the next mayweather. Had no one was calling him the next mayweather he would be half as popular.

Most of GBP fighters r overrated and they r trying to do the canelo route with lightweight champ figueroa. Hes fighting canelos brother OMG really ? This is why boxing has lost some popularity putting those kinds of fights on ppv !

Canelo continues to improve but he was very over rated before, he is the money man at 154 but he is not the best fighter at that weight. He beat Trout by a narrow decision in my eyes and lost to Floyd.

Broner looked good against so so opposition and he was all over the scale looking for the right opponent to build his name and get a title. The Paulie outing and his loss to Maidana makes a better case of him being over rated.

Lately fighters are getting rated on how they looked instead of who they have beaten. Can over rate fighters on potential alone

In terms of skills it's clearly Broner. He was labeled the next Mayweather and it's clear he's not even half the fighter Floyd is ,not nearly enough talent or dedication.

Canelo on the other hand is just extremely popular many people actually underrate his skills. He's a better boxer than people give Him credit for and showed that in outboxing Trout. His talent might not be up to par to his popularity but come on he's Mexican.

well the thing is broner used to bulldoze his opponents in the lower weight divisions after a 2 or 3 rounds of getting a feel of the opposition. but against maidana, he was bull rushed from the opening bell. broner's so called power was no where to be seen.

there's a saying in boxing, you may be a multiple weight world champion but you're only as good as your last fight.

Both guys are young and will improve, but Canelo lost to Floyd. Floyd is a great fighter,no shame in losing to him. Plus he has a really good win over Trout.

Broner is more overrated. I never thought for a second Broner would beat Marcos.
