When he lost to Rjjr, he became prime the next day and not a minute sooner.

Hopkins didn't do great against Calzaghe because Calzaghe's style did not allow Hopkins to headbutt and hold and hit like he's used to. Plus Calzaghe's a better boxer than his detractors give him credit for.

Now we sit around and wait for the butt-hurt whiners to go on for 30 pages screaming "robbery"
Hopkins was old but any win over him is a good one. That's been proven time and time again.

around the time he fought tito (35 ish). after that he was physically declining, he just made up for it with skills, smarts and understanding his own shortcomings. that he is still so physically fit at 50 is amazing, but to me its even more amazing that he has the mental and technical tools to make up for his age.

dude is just plain amazing any way tou look at it though. the man didnt legitimately lose a fight from 1994 to 2012 fighting exclusively at championship level.

He lost to Calzaghe in 2008, and don't even try to give me that "B-hop wuz robbed yo" bullshit either.

Hopkins looked like he really came into his own against Mercado
he first looked like an old man showing age against Hakkar
that guy fought like a twat, but it showed on Hopkins
seemed there a fresher guy coulda gotten that fight over with sooner
you could tell from then on the physical erosion process had begun

you are entitled to your opinion, i thought hopkins put on a clinic and clearly won. i have seen the fight several times and even if i give joe every single competitive round in addition to the ones he won i still have hopkins winning the fight.

the only bull**** is your "wuz robbed yo" crap. almost as unnecessary as it is ignorant. tells me why you had calzaghe winning though so i wont have to bother breaking down the fight.

The reason why I said that is because more than half of the people crying robbery are black dudes who are mad that the white guy won, its not a secret. I don't even know you so perhaps it was unfair to mention it.

It was a crappy fight and I had Calzaghe winning by a ****-hair. I was gonna watch the fight again but to be honest it was boring and neither fighter was particularly effective. Problem is, too many people throw the word "robbery" around too often. Losing a close fight and robbery are not the same thing.

Taylor fights were him exiting his prime. Now that doesn't mean he still can't get better or worse.
