Wow people see an random working on the bodybag video with no information about how long he was in the gym at that moment and day + of a guy that wasnt moving his body right for almost a year + Sergio being on his first days in training and come to the conclusion that he lacks stamina and his legs are totally gone? How old are people on here? 13? Or are they just mentally ******ed? What do you expect...that he walks 100 miles, jump rope for 2 hours and sparring 30 rounds on the first day at the gym after that long layoff and that in full speed? Sergio is no super saiyan and thats no Dragonball guys...

Look at Derrick Rose after his ACL comeback. The guy was huffing and puffing after a few minutes back on the court. And he's been "walking 100 miles, jumping rope for 2 hours", and all the stuff you said, but in basketball workouts. For a year and a half!
It's not the same thing as actually being in the ring. Especially when the bright lights are shining, and you're not practicing anymore, but the guy in front of you wants to kill you, and pushing you harder than anyone in sparring could ever do.
Plus, there's the thing called nerves, and adrenaline dumps. When you're not used to walking out to the ring like you always do, and hearing the crowd cheering, it's a huge deal.

But I really don't believe Sergio's stamina will come into play because of how Cotto fights. Cotto will charge in but he goes flat-footed when he wants to deliver his shots. Sergio will just have to move enough to keep Cotto from setting\planting his feet.
Another factor is size -- Sergio will be able to bump Cotto out of rhythm and move when he resets. Which will keep Cotto off-balance and in a state of constantly resetting to land his shots.
So, in regards to stamina, I see Sergio moving just enough to keep Cotto off-balance and throwing shots as he makes those subtle positional changes.
Only way I see Cotto making a fight out of this is if he applied ungodly pressure throughout the fight -- But as a consequence, he will no doubt take a lot of punishment from a retreating Sergio.
Either way, can't see Cotto having the use of both his eyes by the eighth ... and due to punishment sustained -- Closed out in the ninth.

I see it like this - Cotto is used to getting beat up bad and Martinez is used to giving beatings.
If Martinez's knee is not too bad Cotto will be beatdown again.
He got beat up by Pacman, Margarito, Clottey and then Floyd didn't exactly give him the biggest beatdown but let's not forget what wild Ricardo Torres did to him. Cotto should be thanking his start the ref didn't stop the fight. I haven't seen the entire Cloud fight so can't talk about it.
Point of the matter is that Cotto's best wins are a very close one over Paulie, a very close one over Mosley and a tko win over Zab. We're talking about his best wins against smalll guys.
Sergio beat up Paul Williams, Kelly Pavlik and big boy Chavez to name a few.
And Roach doesn't teach defense either. I think it's a slam dunk!

Plus Cotto is a sucker for the uppercut, and once Sergio lands a good uppercut, that high guard is coming down ... Setting up the closer overhand KO for Sergio.
Side note: The Delvin Rodriguez fight didn't prepare Cotto for what he's gonna face with Sergio ... All that fight gave Cotto is a false sense of rejuvenation.
Sergio by stoppage in the ninth!!! :boobies:
