Stevenson just lost a fan. Honestly, him signing with someone because he makes for entertaining fights doesnt make him a better boxer. A boxer steps in the ring because it is what he does. And as a result, he gets paid for it. He is a warrior. Kovalev is a warrior. And its amazing that he rants now that he is hiding behind the curtain of his promoter. If he wants to be the best the he'll challenge the best around or anyone who can challenge him. This whole... if the money is right. Non-sense. When he won his WBC he acted like he never thought he could do it. He wont have it for long. Kovalev is a wrecking ball.

It's funny, a lot of people think he absolutely does fight Kovalev - it's part of his HBO contract, all this talk is just build-up, and he's even said quite matter-of-factly the fight will happen.

But when someone starts telling us the money has to be right, has just become a big-name at 36, brings on Al Haymon as their manager when they are a HBO fighter, and the opponent is a guy, who IMHO is gonna destroy him, I am sceptical about the fight happening. At the least, I think it's 50-50 (in terms of it happening) and not the sure bet everyone thinks it is.
