Cotto was at his best at junior welter,so wouldn't the "greener" version of Cotto have been the best version of Cotto.Also Canelo is 40 plus fights into his career and in his physical prime so would have to infer that this is as good as he is going to ever be and Cotto had distinguished amateur career and was a titleholder at 140,so enlighten me on just what "green" means.

British fighter Amir Khan has firandd off some shots at Floyd Mayweather Jr., claiming the unbeaten pound-for-pound king is a cherry picker who picks easier opponents to look impressive. Mayweather is scheduled to return on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Khan, along with Marcos Maidana, are the two frontrunners to fight him.

Floyds last three opponents were Saul Canelo, Robert Gurerro, and Miguel Cotto. All three of these fighters will stop Khan inside of 6 rounds.

Not saying Maidana poses a better challenge to Mayweather than Khan, But I think most 'real' boxing fans will agree.. Out of the 2 fighters, Maidana deserves it more.. because of the work he has put in with his last 5 fights.. If you look at Khan's last 5 fights.. he has come up short almost 50% of the time.. NEVER TRIED TO AVENGE THE LOSSES... and that's what a real champion would do.. and now he's going on one year of inactivity? How does he justify deserving anything?... I mean it's like someone not working for a year and walks in (khan) ... and someone who has been working for a year (maidana) and they're both asking for a raise...

Like I said Maidana has been active and has been winning, against good opponents... Khan on the other hand has been inactive and losing against good opponents and barely winning against average ones.. and hasn't been in the ring in a year...

And about Mayweather.... why are these 2 fighters THE ONLY OPTION??? Something is wrong with boxing and even though I think Mayweather Jr., is one of the best out there.. I also think he is one of those people that are making the sport look bad.

Boxing is about making financial sense and earning your keep. Financially the Khan fight would bomb and no one would care to see a glass chin who hasn't done **** get a fight he does not deserve. Floyd is a PRIZE fighter. There is no prize with Amir.
