Hitting the heavy bag is fun. Doesn't even feel like a workout for me. Also, speedbag.
Does shadow boxing actually work anything out?
Usually, . I hit the heavy bag for a solid 2 hours or so at varying tempos always full throttle toward the end. I believe in investing in alot of heavy bag work .. I wanna have a sledgehammer when I need it.
Since i dont have a round timer, i go by songs on the radio..heavy bag for 2 songs, shadow boxing for 1 song.... shadow boxing limbers you out a bit I feel and helps with rhythm and visualization..helps work on footwork, balance ect.
If I have time ill throw in a run, jumprope and speedbag in my circuit, but I usually dont. Wife..kids.. always asking a question or needing something every minute of the day..plus the kids broke my speedbag. Lol
If Maidana makes it past the 6th it'll be a total let down. Floyd should dispatch him in 3-4 rounds.
Robert García that "we know it is going to be hard for us the first four or five rounds, but the fights are twelve rounds". This seems to say something about his plan. Intriguing.

[1] Wow, you have good cardio. Cardio is important in boxing. Look at what happened to Glen Tapia when he gassed out in the ring against James Kirkland.
[2] My uncle -- who got in many street fights in Los Angeles in the 80s and 90s -- told me the heavy bag makes you strong and hardens your hand.
[3] They rely on you.
[4] Dang, that sucks. I have one. But I currently live in an upstairs apartment, so I have no place to hook it up. They are really fun. Great physical outlet for tension, stress, and pressure from life.
