He did.. but he's smart. He knew Ortiz was mentally weak and if pushed would make a mistake.

against maidana he's gonna try to play keepaway. I find chances of him knocking out iron chinned battle tested maidana extremely remote. If anyone getting knocked out in the fight it will be Floyd.

Agreed. But it's honestly irrelevant to this fight, if Floyd looks for the KO it will make things more exciting, but the fight is really dependant on how fight utilizes the ring more than anything. I expect Chino to be at his best in all aspects and to chase him and try to cut him of consistently, it's Floyd who has the capability to adapt quicky, and the ring IQ to control the flow, unless Chino hurts him and the odds become level temporarily.

Alot of people are saying Floyd is going to be on his bicycle the whole fight, but those people are all trolls, alt trolls, Floyd haters, or Manny fanboys, so I don't put stock into anything they say.

Most knowledgable/respected posters here are either expecting Maidana to get outboxed and TKO'd or wide UD'd, while a few expect it to be closer than we may have ever seen Floyd to the brink yet, like myself.

Seemed like he wanted to push for a stoppage in that one but who knows he probably would have cruised as the fight went on.

Only chance is if Maidana lands a hail mary punch but even then unless he knocks Floyd out cold with one punch Floyd will survive.

Sure, but it takes two to tango.

We both know Floyd won't do the tango - so unless he gets dragged somewhere horrible, which is highly unlikely, then it won't be anywhere near a barrera-morales fight.

Plus, you can be excited for two warriors going at it for sure - because you know they will create a war and leave everything in the ring.

I thought the same when Oscar fought Hopkins.

But he could catch him straight down the middle like he did Guerrero and slowed him down in the 8th or 9th, and he could look at how Khan caught him in the liver section.
