Yeah but I remembered Cotto wanted a heavier than normal glove because it had more blocking room to work with.

It was Ellerbe who brought it up it seems. Looks like Floyd just jumped on the opportunity to throw his weight around and cause some drama.

No reason for Garcia and Maidana to back down, unless Schaefer and Haymon lean on them.

tmt has to resort to such amateur tactics just to gain much needed attention to this mismatch. no way in hell mayweather would pass on a $30 mil pay day. just goes to show how paranoid and narcissistic mayweather is. i hope maidana sparks this fool

Nevermind, I was thinking Winning. But, I don't think it's cool to have them change their gloves. Maidana is comfortable with those gloves and is used to their feel. The thing is, Mayweather usually has his opponents use the Grants for a reason, especially if the fighters have a punch. Garcia stood his ground against Mayweather, I like that. Let them use a fair set of Everlast.

At least when Naz caused this much drama over gloves against Barrera, he was fighting Barrera. Floyd's doing this against a massive underdog. Pointless.

If Ellerbe hadn't of opened his mouth, none of this would be an issue. Floyd's not going to turn around and negate what another member of team Mayweather has pointed out.
