The funny thing about Ellerbe flouncing off and saying "no fight" is that there is absolutely no possible way there is "no fight". The repercussions would be immense. Can you imagine Showtime or Haymon or GBP allowing that to happen? Of course no.

So it's one of those rare situations where Team Mayweather can't control every single aspect to their satisfaction. If I was Garcia and Chino, I would stick to my guns, especially when the commission approved a set of the gloves. Not that I give Chino a good chance but these little small victories help out, it unsettles the other fighter (and Mayweather looks like he's had a traumatic lead-in to the fight).

Saying that, I expect Team Maidana to relent. They took it up the ass when it came to the purses. But wouldn't it be great if Garcia told Ellerbe to screw himself, just like he told Freddie Roach they wouldn't finish the training session early during the Pac-Rios fight?

Then you have to factor in that team floyd is making over 95% more money, and then you see a little table over there with two chairs in a dimly lit room. Team Maidana will take the cash and wear soft gel gloves if told to.

If Maidana has 3 sets of the (SAME) gloves to choose from........why did 1 pair have less padding than the others?

They are suppose to be the same.
It's also ironic that the less padded pair was the pair chosen by team Maidana.
