Well I wouldn't say the fight would be pointless, but Pacquiao clearly isn't at his best anymore so the problem is we'll never know who would win if they were both in their primes. If Floyd fought Pacquiao in 2009 or before that I truly believe Pacquiao would have won. If they fight now, I think Floyd would likely win. But even now Floyd still doesn't want the fight, which is pretty sad.
