PACMAN: The poor man's Duran

I think these two have some similarities in how their boxing careers have evolved.


Both started their careers at a much lower weightclass

Duran when he was still Duran stopped at 160-168 when he started at 130lbs.

Pacquiao appears to have filled out and suggest that the buck stops at 130lbs when he started at 108lbs.

Duran vs. Leonard II- Duran quits out of frustration w/ Leonard's
style and speed.

Duran vs. Hagler- Duran loses by a UD

Duran vs. Hearns- Duran loses via k.o. in the early rounds

PACQUAIO vs. MAB- tko's a legend

PACMAN/PACAMAZING vs. Juan Manuel Marquez - Fight ends in a
controversial
draw!

PAC-MAN vs. Erik I- Pac loses via UD

PACAMANIAC vs. Erik II- Pacquiao brutalizes a legend

Duran and PAC head to head obviously is not even up for debate and comparing PAC's famous opponents to Duran's rivals don't compare either.

One thing that I would say PAC has over on Duran is that k.o. power!

Stamina is about the same, both guys actually seem to get stronger as the fight goes into the championship rounds

Championship heart- Even

Overall boxing skills(Offense & Defense)- Hands down Duran

Chin- Slight edge to Duran

What about Barkley, Buchanan, Pipino Cuevas, and Esteban De Jesus?
He beat these guys and Duran wasn't even in his prime.
These guys were also famous opponents

well, Duran ruled the lightweight division for what 8 years with a record of 71-1-0 which the loss was avenged.
Beat the legend Sugar Ray Leonard, gave Hagler Hell (arguably the best middleweight of all time)...beat Davey Moore for the WBA lightmiddle weight title, beat Iran Barkley for the WBC middleweight championship at the age of 37.
Now this is a guy who started out as a bantamweight...Manny and Duran dont even come close.
Duran is one of the greatest P4P fighters in history, Manny has a long way to go.

Nope, in fact, I wasn't saying anything remotly close to that. I said that Duran isn't much better than pac, just because one thing isnt MUCH better than another, doesnt mean it isnt better.
