I'm a Loma***ual no doubt but there is definitely some tweaking needed if he's going to beat Salido.
My biggest issue with hos style that ive seen so far is his reliance on a high energy style, both to land his own punches and to avoid them. Imo he was starting to look tired late in some of his 5round WSB fights and over 12 against a hard body puncher like Salido this could be a huge issue.
Another aspect i didn't like against Ramirez (which was a crazy good win for a debut) was his inability to slow Ramirez' work down on the inside. Ramirez ain't a big puncher so it wasn't a.huge issue in that fight bit he's going to need to find a better answer against Salido.
I definitely think he can do it though. And his team are saying and doing all the right things in terms of recognizing where they are at in the pro game and bring in pro coaches to help his development. Hell even if he loses this fight its not the end of the world he can still be a great fighter if he wants it
Yeah he just has to break some of his amateur habits. Sit down on his shots more. Hopefully his first fight taught him a lot because he definitely has talent. He only has to apply that talent differently at times. He will have to punch hard to get Salido's respect. Flurries will not deter Salido. He has to mix up his attack more and use his movement to actually increase his punching power instead of punching while pulling away.
A factor in this fight could be how many punches the slow Salido is willing to take before he quits or his body does. Loma's not going to have any trouble connecting through Salido's defense. And Salido has never faced anything like Loma's foot and hand speed.

Lol... You're kidding right? Either that or you don't watch boxing.
Everything I've seen of Lomachenko leads me to believe he is just too skilled for Salido. My only concern is stamina. I think Lomachenko should go to SAlido's body early. And don't forget, it took Salido 7 rounds to put away Cruz. I think we can all agree Lomachenko is a harder puncher and more skilled fighter than Cruz.
I think he'll dominate him similarly to what Garcia did to him. The late rounds are the mystery to me for Lomachenko, as he's better than Salido in every other department with his chin also being up for debate at the professional level.
Don't see Salido being able to beat Lomachenko. He's not going to lose for while.
I don't see Gamboa having the same quality of footwork as Loma. Comparable foot speed but not the same quality of movement. My opinion, you may have yours.
