Champ at 135? Well, GGG is what at 160? GGG is considered one of if not the top 160lbs, right? The only thing I agree is that we don't know how or which GGG would show up at 154 (perhaps better at a CW of 157) so it would kind of deflate this from my stand-point but the point is that you Floyd fans are using all sorts of excuses to de-rail all of Floyd's supposed risky fights. Why?

All the riskier fights, you have excuses. Manny, Martinez, GGG, .... sorry but when Floyd is the champ at a division, all comers are allowed to fight him at that weight ..... not just the cherry picked fights that are approved by Floyd and his fans!

That particular Floyd fan said "the right to call Floyd out is only if the opponent beats a few credible opponents first at Floyd's weight" .... so Marquez didn't have to do that ..... calling out was good enough for Floyd. THAT WAS THE POINT!!!
Those fights can all happen no problem. All those guys have to do is get out of their HBO contracts. It's a done deal after that.

Why would someone get out of an HBO contract if they have a good deal to fight on Showtime? HBO will always be bigger than Showtime.

now talking about going down to 154 just to fight the likes of lara?

It's refreshing to see some people with balls are still out there.
The thing is he's in a position where he has to be willing to fight anyone he really has no options. I like that he's calling out guys like GGG but unless the fights get made it doesn't really do anything and that Hbo/Showtime rivalry doesn't help.

These Mexican "warriors" , I assume you mean Marquez, have earned their spot at the top and the right to pick their opponents which is what all top fighters do. Your naive if you think guys at his age and position should take on all challengers.

lara the exposer of bull**** lol.

nobody wants to fight him (legitimately), so he calls out all these other guys who nobody supposedly want to fight. williams, trout, pirog etc..

we quickly find out which fighters are truly willing to fight the best but being avoided and which are just pretending in order to excuse their lack of resume.

i give golovkin a break now due to the GBP-TR bull****. doesnt excuse the last time though.

How good could their deal be? They all still make chump change. GGG isn't even making Danny Garcia money. You can't expect Floyd to break his deal to fight on HBO. He's got the best deal in sports. Say you are GGG's promoter how would you get the deal done?

One thing everyones seems to forget though

Laras power wont stop ggg from coming to him
Ggg wont have respect for that power
And everyone knows how good GGG cuts the ring againts movers

The biggest question will be for this match is how would lara react after getting punch by ggg
Ggg will be on his face all night

Still an interesting match that i would love to see

Angulo had him hurt bad, imagine what a fighter, with incredible punching power and is also a middleweight, would do to him. I like lara but he is simply not a middleweight

Showtime isn't paying their MWs more than HBO, it's the other way around. How would I get a GGG/FMJ fight done? Simple.. I don't - Floyd wouldn't fight GGG, he won't even fight Lara.

Not true. Pirogs team said they'd fight him on a premium channel anytime, GBP make it happen. Also said he's welcome to fight him in Russia, but for the standard challenger wage. That was it, Lara didn't respond
