Paulie is the only skilled pure boxer that Amir has fought, to my knowledge. And Paulie was able to land enough counters as Amir was coming in to mark up his face. Floyd hits much harder than most give him credit for. if he didn't, then opponents wouldn't have any qualms about walking through his punches, but more often than not, at some point, Floyd ends up backing up his opponents.

Floyd also has superior timing compared to Amir, which will make his speed a nonfactor at some point, I think.

I think it's better to force Floyd onto the front-foot, win the exchanges with speed and then move. Rinse and repeat.
Force Floyd on the front foot? How many fighters can claim to have done that? Khan definitely does not have the in ring intelligence to do that.

When have you ever seen Khan fight well off the back foot?

It's a ismple formula, rush Floyd, score as many points as possible and try and hurt him with speed and combinations. Trying to fight Floyd on the back foot is suicidal.

Floyd is so feather fisted he made a prime undefeated middleweight Mexican bada$$ shy away from coming straight at Floyd.

triangle theories? diaz hurt khan badly, porter rips amir's head off

              True story.

His only losses were to monstrous punches. I don't see Mayweather being able to hurt him with a single shot. He may break him down late in the fight.

I was guilty for underestimating Miguel Cotto but he was another guy that did very well against boxers.

                Garcia was clearly timing Khan.

Why not Khan? He's one of the better welterweights. I wouldn't bet him to win but I would bet him to go the distance. Floyd's power looked low against Canelo, but I think he was worried about Canelo's power so he short-armed many punches and missed.

He punched pretty well against Cotto and Guerrero. He rocked each once but was unable to put them down or away. He couldn't put Marquez away. Mayweather's power would look better against Khan than Canelo, but the older he gets and more frequently he fights, the more stress he places on those brittle hands.

I don't get excited about his fights though. I would never pay for another. But I'll watch with interest when they replay it on cable.

And was taken a beating in the process.

Floyd's not going to take shots Garcia did in order to time Khan and his hands won't let him throw with the power Garcia can.
