That is absolutley dead on right Ive said it for years ,Mannys style is probably a sure win against Mayweathers' Mayweathers has struggled against southpaws even crappy ones and has never even come close to fighting someone with Mannys speed, his style is for right handers, not southpaws ,hell even conventionals with a good left hook have beat Mayweather like in the case of the 1st Castillo fight and delahoya shouldve won or at least drew because he won at least 6 rounds, Cotto troubled Mayweather with his left,Manny would tear that asss up period even if mayweather figured out a way to win hed get an ungodly beating , records dont mean **** styles do and Mayweathers style is tailor Made for Manny it wouldnt even be very hard either it would look just like when Spadafora was whupping on mayweather in sparring , he did it quite easily Mayweather simply has no answers for that style his own style is ALL WRONG for it....
Only with someone as dominant as Floyd can it be considered a "struggle" to lose only 3-4 rounds each AT TTHE MOST against southpaws.
Marquez and Floyd are counter punchers but are different in style. For instance his shoulder roll won't work on Pac. That straight left will land all day.
Because the shoulder roll is the only aspect to his defense. And by the way, the shoulder roll IS effective against a southpaw if used properly.
Bob is a greedy bastard but he has seen damn near everything in his 82 years. What he speaks about Floyd's style is the truth. The Mayweather shoulder roll is most effective against orthodox fighters with speed less than the one doing the shoulder roll. A southpaw with more speed and volume than the defender is definitely going to break down the defense.
Then release him for one fight and take a step aside fee so it can happen.
why does anybody have to release anybody. Don't you see this is another f*** excuse. With floyds power he can fight anyone if he wanted to. He calls the shots. He's the roadblock but blames other people.
He also said he promoted the man for 10 years. Did he forget that during those 10 years he promoted a fight with Zab Judah. A southpaw with speed and a lot of crazy moves. Need I mention that Bob Arum was saying in the press conference leading up to that fight that he hasn't seen a better boxer since Ali and nobody combines all of the skills and technique like Floyd does. Yet today, he's afraid of southpaws even though the last southpaw he faced barely touched him. Just like any other fighter. Arum is making a killing off of Pacquiao fights and it's good promotional practice to say another fighter is afraid of your fighter.
It's even better if it's true and is generally known throughout the world.
