Is there a 'who cares?' option?

But GGG can't get any live bodies at 160 to face him so moving up to fight Ward would be a nice alternative. If he wins he becomes a big star, and if he loses he can go back down and maybe more people would be willing to fight him after a loss.
I would really hate if Ward again should get all the advantages in a major fight.

Other than that, you make a valid point.

Cutting through the Ward-GGG issue, I'd personally preferred both men to take the Hagler route by staying put and dominate their respective divisions for a good few years.

I would have no problem with that. Cleaning out and owning a division for years is something that gets underrated by most boxing fans these days.

I don't like Ward but fuhkit he deserves the payday. AFTER THAT FIGHT, he should fight ANY big name top 10 LHW. Hell I'll watch Ward vs Sillakh.
Funnily enough, I could see that as being as being a pretty decent fight as long as it was at 175 (equally I see Sillakh - Dawson at either Cruiser or LHW being nice as well) Sillakh's as slick as hell against someone who's most likely to box rather than attack him.

Wards choices depend on what he wants - probably he can still make good money for a while at SMW - Chavez Jr is obvious, Froch rematch, Groves (perhaps, if he impresses in the rematch) Golovkin if he continues to build and moves up.

Right now he probably can't earn much more at 175, but of course the biggest fights for him are now there.

If I was Wards financial advisor I'd be saying Junior, as a fan it has to be LHW and Stevenson or Kovalev (but not just yet, the two wunderkind at 175 must fight each other).

Ward can't get any live bodies at super middleweight as well.

Don't think Golovkin would drain a guy a whole weight class to theirs, that would be a cheap move

Besides, what worthy opponent is even out there?

Carl Froch - he already embarrassed him
                Kessler - same
Groves - the guy lost to Froch, and was KO'd at that. The guy's not even worthy enough to spar with Andre, let alone step into professional ring.

GGG - he's a MW who's been fighting a bum of the month. Gimme a ****in break

Anthony Dirrell - the guy just eked out a draw with crude Sakio Biko. Seriously, Anthony Dirrell. The guy's lucky if Andre even let him hold his spit bucket

Light heavyweights Stevenson and Kovalev - They have weight classes for a reason. Andre fights at 168; to ask to him to fight at a catchweight is incredibly unreasonable, and disrespectful to SOG.
Lulz Ward said he was going to LHW back in 2011 yet he fights Dawson at 168 and is still hanging around even though there is nothing left for him except a joke fight versus Chavez im sure he would love.

Kovalev was 180lbs fight night against Sillakh most SMW's are probably bigger than him.

True, the only reason Andre 'Son of Ottke' Wardttke fights at 168lbs is so he can pick on smaller guys who aren't as big as him and just bully with his outlandish 18th century fight plan which doesn't even adhere to the rule book.

Wardttke should just man up and fight at 175lbs and stop making excuses chasing after smaller guys than him, what a *****.
