Geale's official objection is the date, not money.

Where was the fight proposed at? They can't fight on Floyd date am sure about that, and am not sure where the fight is taking place. I cannot believe he would just let the fight pass just because of his people watching the fight alone. Wouldn't the fight be on like 4am Aussie time anyway?

Why can't Geale fight Golovkin on that PPV card?

The fight could be tape-delayed and shown in the evening on HBO. Golovkin is promoted by K-2.
This really does sound like a best case scenario. Would also allow the Australian audience to watch it on the same day as the UFC albeit at an earlier time (approx. 6-7 AM instead of 2 PM).

Idea must be presented to K-2. Share this on their twitter

Absolutley patheic Geale, nothing else but pathetic. First you duck the Feb date because it isnt on HBO, and now you duck the April date even though it is on HBO. No more chances should be given to this ducker. Adama has more balls, and isn't really any worse than Geale since he came close to beating him.

Can't blame GGG for this. But, if he plans on hanging around 160 waiting on Martinez, this is what he's got to look forward to. The Sturm and Geale can probably make more money fighting each other. Kid Chocolate can't fight GGG for contractual reasons. And Martinez is probably gonna snub him for a potential Canelo fight. So the ball's in his court. Move up or become irrelevant.

Damn good point. This whole thing is just pathetic.

People were saying Martinez has one more fight on his HBO contract after Cotto so i don't see how Canelo could happen. I know he wants that though.

I think GGG should take a 168lbs fight in the meantime, as long as he's able to keep his 160lbs belt, because if that got stripped from him, then he'd lose even more if not all ability to get 160 lbers to fight him.

What's the obsession with getting Geale in the ring among GGG fanboys? He's coming off a loss.

There isn't any, actually it's the opposite - GGG haters blaming Golovkin for not fighting "top" opponents like Geale. I've said all along that Geale is overrated.
