I'm worried about the same myself. I was stuck between Lomachenko winning by decision and him winning by TKO/KO. I picked him winning by TKO. He has speed and enough power to do the job - the questions are: how does he deal with a professional with the toughness of Salido and does he maintain his stamina past the 8th round.

Judging by his confidence and insistence on fighting for the championship in his second fight I think that he must have sparred with many professionals and considers himself more than prepared.

    We'll see.

Lomanchenko have shown he has actual talent and very advance boxing skills but he has never faced hard nose adversity. Salido will provide such a thing if he is in his better days. What will happen if Lomachenko gets hit with a big punch or counter? If Lomancheko keeps calm and alert stay on defense for the first three rounds and take opportunity shots.. I believe he can pull it off. However if Lomancenko goes in against a motivated Salido with a forceful nature he will lose. Salido lives off aggression and Lomanchenko have shown such tendencies. I picked a toss up..

Sure, in pro terms, everyone has that advantage so far and Salido in particular is a really battle tested guy in the pros who will make it difficult. But if you fight basically 400 bouts you sure as hell aren't going to be a newbie and Vasyl will likely have encountered every style in the book. The thing is, Loma is improving every day, learning and constantly evolving. Salido is battle tested but you know what he is going to bring, and he can't change at this point. He sure ain't giving up his title without a fight, but Vasyl is just too varied, hungry and talented to pass this opportunity up.

There is some merit in what you're saying but the pros really is a completely different game in some respects, especially at the world championship level.

Its just like anything in life, theres some things you can only learn by actually having been there and experienced the situation before. Regardless of Lomachenkos vast amateur experience, theres some things about 12 round championship boxing that only Salido is gonna know on Saturday night.

He is very skilled, very talented, and if he beats Salido, there will be massive upside for him.

I have a feeling this is too much too soon though.

If Lomachenko can take the punishment and hold together mentally, he can win easily with his skill.

Salido gets over rated quite a bit because he beat down Juanma, but he is if nothing a veteran who has been in against the very best the sport has to offer.

Lomachenko has an incredible offence, I am not sure if he is an actual puncher, but he can definitely put hands on you.
My thoughts too pretty much, if Lomachenko can handle what Salido is gonna dish back at him, and if he can hurt Salido with his offence, he is going to win this.

If he starts to waver under Salidos punches, and it starts to get on in rounds without Salido being hurt, its gonna pretty much exemplify the expression drowning in deep waters.

I can easily see Loma dropping Siri with a body shot, but as usual my boy Siri gonna get back up and rough Loma up. The late rounds are going to be intense

What worries me is that Lawrence Cole is the ref.
