True, but they'd both leave Ward and Hopkins lying motionless on the canvas

Canelo was hyped out the ass, said it for years. But you guys have taken this GGG bull**** and damn near brought it to the Pactard level. That's dangerous.

Who is/are the fighter(s) he needs to beat to convince you? Assuming he could ever do anything to convince you.

I'm kinda with you, he hasn't earned a p4p ranking or this massive hype, though I'm a fan and think he's got the stuff. But the hype came from insiders, all these contenders and promoters not willing to touch him. Then it caught on with the casuals with each outing, pretty unusual with his background and lack of ethnic fanbase.

His current hype? No. But he can still graduate into it once he actually has the opportunity.

Both yes he deserves the hype and yes he needs to "step up" but i wouldn't describe it as such since it implies he's unwilling to face top compitition.

Fact is Sturm, Geale, Quillin, N'Dam, Murray, Barker, Martinez have all either given up a title rather than fight him, turned down a title shot when they didn't have a belt, have promoters that admitted they don't want their fighter facing him or have themselves clearly not wanted to fight him. An entire division has been avoiding him and still is in a way i have rarely seen with any boxer.

Ggg is worthy of the hype

Is he a proven hall of famer, no

But he is the beast from 154-168 with only ward being better

Just look at it this way,,, ggg has been killing fringe contenders,, canelo couldn't blow away guys like Gomez, ndou, hatton,Rhodes. , old Shane, trout... Ggg would murder those caliber of fighters

Canelo is a hype job and ggg is legit,,, it will take a top level guy like ward, Floyd, Hopkins to beat ggg
