Is he worthy of praise? Yes. Is he worthy of the levels of praise he receives seemingly only on here? Hell no

GGG the truth finished his amatuer record woth 350-5, going on a 235 win streak, not having lost since 1994.

      Highest current champion ko percentage.

Total ring generalship against all opponents.

      Yes, hype deserved here.

Of course he's worthy, he's earned it. The guy will fight anywhere and anyone and is one of the most active.

I voted yes. He is my pound for pound favorite and that includes Mayweather. He has a great defense and a great offense. He has an amateur record of 345 wins to 5 losses. He has never been knocked down or hurt to my knowledge in 350 amateur fights and 29 pro fights. He has 29wins and no losses as a pro with 26 KO wins. He has successfully defended his world titles 10 times winning by KO every time. He has the highest KO win percentage of any world champion. As for the quality of his opposition he has defeated many fighters in the top 15 and a few in the top 10. He wants to fight the very best but they refuse to fight him. That is not hype. That is tremendous accomplishment.

2 simple reasons why he deserves his hype and will be very, very difficult to beat.

-He's got freakish power that can stop mostly anyone, this has not yet been disproven

-He's got a steel chin and isn't getting stopped by anyone, this has not yet been disproven as he has never been dropped or stopped in over 375 fights, pro and am.

When you put these two things together, you've essentially got a winning combination. Sure, there is the off chance that a truly elite boxer could win by boxing a strategically perfect fight, possibly by picking GGG off with jabs on the outside, using a speed advantage to beat him to the punch and also tying up on the inside to break down any punches coming his own way. And possibly try a few dirty tricks. Conceivably, Ward could do it. Martinez, I think at his age and condition gets stopped at this point.

Anyhow, the two key elements of GGG are his power and his chin - just imagine the hype someone like Wilder would be getting if he had that known element of having a steel chin to go along with his power, rather than knowing a big puncher would likely stop him, coming from his am days?

GGG is a bit like the young Tyson, it's hard to see him get beaten if he keeps focused and doesn't go off the boil.

He has some tools but has beaten no one worth mentioning. There are still questions to be answer, How will he react to adversity? Will he be able to adjust when faced with a puncher/boxer? Will his chin hold up?

Hype is what will get him to get noticed and fight the best fights to test himself. So yes, GGG is worthy of the hype and if he beats all the top dogs then he will be worth more hype
