    Sergey Kovalev vs. Cedric Agnew

Sergey Kovalev vs. Cedric Agnew is being discussed for March 29 to headline an event at Adrian Phillips Ballroom at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Agnew is a quick, athletic, undefeated 26-0 fighter and won't be an easy opponent for Kovalev.

Kovalev's opponent isn't signed, but it could be Cedric Agnew (26-0, 13 KOs), a 27-year-old from Chicago who has some decent wins on his record, including those against former title challenger Yusaf Mack, Daniel Judah and Otis Griffin.
    Agnew says he's been avoided:

Props to Agnew for being brave enough to fight Kovalev.

i dont kno who the fk agnew is but kathy duva said the stevenson fight is gonna happen so i guess they are feeding the 2 champions bums with padded records so they dont take a crucial loss which will derail all plans! just like when de la hoya got an early xmas present vs sturm!

Kovalev will steamroll him in a maximum of 4 rounds. This guy hasn't got enough pop to stop the Russian from walking him down. This will be like the Cleverly fight. War Kovalev.

Never heard of him but at least he's undefeated.

Solid opponent while they sit and wait around for Stevenson.

Lets hope they make that call to Kathy Duva after the Agnew-Fonfara fights.

Apparently they've been negotiating and it's close to happening

I mean he really doesn't have any other options. What's he supposed to do, just not fight and wait 8 months for Adonis?

Duva has been very vocal in saying that they wanted Adonis after the Sillakh fight. He has to stay busy. Never heard of this kid, but at least he's undefeated.

I'm gonna check some fights out. Anybody know anything about Agnew?

What is? Agnew-Kovalev, or you talking about Adonis-Kov?
