Mayweather: what has Africa done for me?

Damn, that's painful to read. I thought that, beyond the boxing persona, he was probably at least a decent guy. But, as someone who has been very involved in fundraising for various charities, reading "what have they done for me" is hugely disappointing. How small minded. I want to still like him but that's hard to get over.

I don't have any pictures of Manny in my man cave. However, I do have Ali, Chavez, Hearns, Hagler, Morales, Barrera, Olivares, etc. How exactly is Manny my hero?

Btw, I don't worry about any other mans success because it has no effect on me or my family. Floyds achievements in boxing don't measure up to my favorites because they took on all comers without excuses.

floyd has handlers and hes not 68 million in debt the problem starts with manny and his blatant ducking if he had fought floyd he could be making way more than 20 million fighting bradley

Is this hurting your personal bank account and stopping you from feeding your own families? You guys are on his every move like white on rice. Who gives two ****s about what he says, how he feels every other week, and what he spends his money on? Hell if pacman and mayweather never boxed 90% of you wouldn't know what boxing was...ultimate stans... Are you mayweather haters? Or undercover lovers?
I can't speak for every other Pacquiao fan here but I'd like to answer this question honestly. I recently became interested in boxing when I moved out to college in 2009. Before then, I could only name two or three boxers at most (De La Hoya vs Mayweather was the first boxing PPV I'd ever seen before then.) Anyways, at the time I had just gotten HBO and started watching boxing. I saw the 24-7 leading up to Pacquiao vs Hatton and I was intrigued by this tiny humble, polite Asian man and his opponent who I thought looked so rough and vicious. I thought there's no way a guy who acts like a total gentleman could be that much of an animal in the ring and decided to order my first PPV. Oh my, I got hooked after the contrast I saw. I became an instant fan of his and got to learn all about other fighters in the other weight classes like the Super Six and Donaire, including how much a big deal Floyd was before his retirement. So you're partially right, in my case I wouldn't know about boxing if it weren't for Pacquiao, and subsequently Floyd.

Naturally, and like most boxing fans I clamored for a Pacquiao-Mayweather mega fight in hopes of seeing the greatest offense fight against the best defense, to no avail. Excuse after excuse on both sides. However, recently i find myself blaming Floyd more and more for the fight not happening. Part of me wants Floyd to go broke so he'll need to fight Pacquiao. That probably won't happen soon enough honestly. I hate that the only fight that mattered at ww has been taken away from us and that maybe, just maybe if Floyd pisses it all away making $2.5m or $10m dollar bets he'll realize that he's robbed the world of history and himself a fulfilled legacy.
