Give the kid some credit, he always wants tough fights and I don't think he's scared of anyone. The poor showing against Mayweather was too much for him, but I think he'll learn from that. His promoters didn't want him to fight trout and he did, and won albeit sorta oddly.
He was born ready. But his handlers knew not too push him too far. Angulo is a dangerous fight though Canelo comes in big favorite. But who else was he gonna fight on PPV, unless it's Latin Fury kinda PPV? He's in need of credibility, and another JWW won't do.

You can say what you want about him, but for being 23 he's taking some tough fights recently . I know for some reason people tend to hate the kid whether they feel insecure or the fact GB promotes him up the @ss but he truly wants to fight the best and is confident in his abilities. Wether people give him credit or
Not is irrelevant especially in this site infested with trolls.

He was a champ for 2 years before fighting a real opponent from his weight class, and the contenders were lining up and begging for the fight. He's Ring p4p right now, and his best clear cut win is a decision over shot, undersized Mosley. To top it off, bad stamina, low output, iffy chin and heart, what's to like? Shoes?

You shouldn't place too much emphasis on rankings especially from Ring ****zine. His shoes are bad@ss I also love the Logo and the fact he's sponsored by under armour.

I don't anymore, because of stuff like this. I agree he's not ducking the contenders himself, he was just being built up to the max. I have no problem with the Angulo fight though. If he wins well (no lame ref stoppage), props in order.

The good thing is he's at a point in his career where he has to fight the best if he really is serious about testing himself no more blown up welterweights or shot fighters. He's got enough leverage to demand his opponents and we can stop placing the blame on GB for hand picking his opponents.

That, plus he's now fighting on PPV only. I don't know if they can get away with patsies, maybe after a couple of good wins. Angulo is a good start.

Great point. I can see that happening too.

Perro losses where fairly bad. He took quiet a beating.

Perro is damaged goods, he has to worry about protecting the eye socket.

He is one dimensional, come-forward style plays into Canleo puncher/boxer style.

This is a mismatch in favor of Canelo.
