Anybody who says Bute was robbed is a straight up joke and shouldnt be called a boxing expert. It wasnt even close. I just cant believe im reading and seeing people saying Bute won. You got to be a complete joke to think it was a robbery.
It was a close fight. Bute was too hesitant and nervous, but Pascal wasn't impressive either. Except for the last round, it wasn't an entertaining fight.
The HBO commentators were very biased in favor of Pascal, and were misleading the viewers. Max Kellerman kept going on about Bute not throwing, but Pascal was just posing and not throwing much either.
I watched the SKY version after downloading it last night and the commentary was much better and more objective.
Commentary for Sky was horrible, normally they do a good job but Watt kept talking about Bute and then had him winning. It was ridiculous.
I scored it 116-112.
Quite a boring fight where both fighters failed to engage, in all honesty, Pascal didn't look to engage because he wanted to fight in spurts but Bute just looked too scared to engage, which is the worst part. I think he should retire.
That terrible fight was easy to score. Pascal won almost every round. Pascal didn't throw much or land much but he always threw and landed lots more punches than paralyzed Bute. Bute won the last round when he started to fight 11 rounds to late.
