Comments Thread For: Pascal Feels Bute Was Not 100% Mentally Ready

Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17KOs) feels Lucian Bute (31-2, 24KOs) has not fully regained his confidence after the five round beating at the hands of Carl Froch in May of 2012. Bute returned once that November, winning a twelve round decision over Denis Grachev. There were shakey moments in the Grachev fight and then Bute was inactive for over a year until he met Pascal on Saturday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Bute fought scared and without any confidence in himself. It was a pathetic performance.

down playing his win? making excuses for bute? doesn't sound like a jean pascal move... I guess it doesn't matter as both got a 2 million purse...

Pascal took this fight knowing Bute was mentally shot. It was very clear he doesnt react well to getting hit... Unfortunately he's been protected to the point that its to late to learn how to take a punch... and at this level, everyone has pop.
