Cotto if he becomes mw champ..... No doubt Ortiz rematch is in the future...

I can see Floyd Ortiz 2 in sept, and cotto-Floyd 2 for mw belt next May

Floyd's last 4 opponents for showtime deal are:
    1 khan
    2 Ortiz 2
    3 cotto for mw belt
    4 Garcia

      Very high possibility

Serg is old and broken down... I have said in other posts, cotto needs to:

      1. Keep a high and tight guard which he should be able to, he blocked a lot of Floyd's right hands, should be able to do it to serg

2 use the jab, especially the double jab

3 back serg up with jab,, attack body

      4. Follow these keys and take over the fight after 6 rounds,,, if Murray can do it, no doubt cotto can

Ortiz losing to Collazo would be the end of him!

If Cotto beats Martinez he would be the center of attention in the boxing world. Fans would ask for him to fight Golovkin, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo, Lara, Molina. And if he picks one of them he's 'ducking' the others because that's how fans roll. So yeah, Cotto would be pretty damn popular and that is what gets you a Floyd fight, when you are hot and every one is talking about your last win and how you improved so much or whatever, that is when Floyd fights you. Happened with Ortiz, Mosley, Guerrero, Cotto, Canelo, he caught all of these fighters coming off their best wins. Well Mosleys' best win is DLH, but at the time Margarito was seen as a killer who even DLH ducked for Pacquiao.

            Don't see it.

Murray might not be as good as Cotto but the guys a very big MW and a good solid boxer.

Cotto's an average sized Jr MW. Will be small at MW and tiny compared to Martinez.

Not got a great chin, not great against Southpaws, fades after 6.

I don't see any way he wins that fight unless Martinez is completely shot.

Picture Cotto-Trout in your mind and imagine it being Martinez. That's what I expect.

All u say is true so I won't try n debate,, just giving the "keys to victory" for cotto,, if he can successfully do as I said I like his chances... If serg isn't broke down and is the same serg That fought Chavez, barker, pwill, and pavlik, then yes serg is the favorite, but if he is the broken down old fighter that fought Murray than it's about a 50/50 fight and I like cotto's chances... Serg is not a big mw, and has never fought anyone the caliber of cotto, and cotto has fought much better fighters than Sergio ie Floyd, manny, margs, Shane

Cotto beats an old serg imo

If Floyd hasn't announced by January 30th and Ortiz wins he may fight him in May.

I think if the Martinez that fought Murray shows up he still batters him.

Sergio's not a huge MW but he's a solid one. He comes to the ring about 170 lbs.

Cotto will be very small compared to Sergio.

I just don't see it going well for Cotto he's going to hit a lot and hurt a lot.

When Cotto wins the MW title, he'll get his rematch with Money May.
