pac's only viable opponent is tim bradley, in a fight he very well may lose. i think manny's pretty much done and thats exactly why they are hesitant to take this fight.

I don't know if I'd outright pick him yet, but Ruslan has a shot against Manny.

Floyd, Bradley, Thurman. That's it, there no one beside those 3 that I give a shot to beat Pacquiao today.

Be a very interesting scrap though
There to be hit? No, I wouldn't use that to describe Thurman. Rios, Margarito, Provodnikov, those guys are there to be hit. In his last three fights, Thurman used his feet and utilized the ring and Pac hates that. Pac is great as the aggressor but when opponents back pedal and box him, he doesn't look good.

Thurman is very quick though and seems to have some quick feet too (he's no Rios thats for sure). Thurman has a very interesting style that we havent really seen Pac against (quick young fighter with big BIG power)

That reminds me, Ortrees is credible. Say what you want but the kid CAN be an animal and brings tons of enviable *physical* attributes such as speed, quickness, and VERY aggressive, AND a southpaw and a solid chin (Manny has some power but I dont see him stopping a guy weighing 165+, not anymore anyway he doesnt sit down on his punches as much anymore). He'll beat the hell out of Ortiz in spots, but aside from Floyd (and even he started getting trapped) you cant really keep him off you. This fight likely ends in Pac stoppage BUT theres always that chance the mean and hungry ortiz shows up and makes this amazing. He could beat Pac at this stage in his career, not impossible.

Bradley if he boxes wins imo.

Prov is such a mystery to me. While I think Pac is the better fighter can he actually outlast Prov at 147 over 12? I'm honestly not sure. Prov has some good speed that he can carry through powerful combinations. Does his face hold up long enough to break pac down in the late rounds? Tmi see Prov winning the fight if it goes past 9 rounds! Huge if because he's going to take a beating to give his. I favor prov ONLY because it worries me that Pac claims Rios had him badly hurt... Rios is strong but not a massive crisp puncher. If Pacs legs are still mostly under him he could win but i dunno man...

Floyd beats any version of pac due to stylistic matchup..

Pac stops Maidana (unless Maidana takes his punches VERY well, I see him getting stopped)... Not sure how pac handles Maidanas power though.

I dont know what to think of old ass JMM cuz he has Pac's rhythm down...

I think those are the only threats..he makes some nice fights with other solid WW like Abregu but I dont know enough about the rest in big fights to favor Pac over them. This includes Porter and Devon who pose interesting stylistic and physical matchups (speed, movement, etc). I give Thurman the nod only because he seems to possess too much for Pac to overcome over 12 at this age and weight class.

Dont get me wrong i think pac is better than most these guys BUT its a matter of is he better than them at 147 where these guys have size, power, quickness, chins and youth over him?? I'm not sure if any version of 147 Pac beats SOME of these AT 147.

You have it wrong. MannyP is not a 154 lb fighter. He fought Margarito at 150, who rehydrated to 165. MannyP said he was hurt badly to the body and would never fight at 154 again. It was reported that he spent several days in hospital after that fight.

MannyP is really a 135-140 lb fighter, built up to about 144 by extra meals daily during training.

Correction; he said he would not fight any higher than 147 in the future.
