So Thurman will be the new IBF champ...damn, ok now there is less chance of Brook being a welterweight champ.
Porter is the far easier fighter ,easier than Devon even.

both guys are just coming into their own now
love Porter for beating the twat, but it's not enough
Thurman is a puncher but he's got a little polish to him
not the kinda guy you expect any boxer to beat easily
hadn't thought about this fight, but it sounds good
would go with Thurman, but on points in a good fight

Porter looked very determined to be a world champ against Alexander now that he's a champ, will he still bring that intensity and hunger to defend his world title? It would certainly create advantages for him that suit his style. Porter's bodywork will be key for him to win that fight, the "uglier" the fight is the more it will benefit Porter i think.Chavez did hurt Thurman to the body but Thurman has shown the ability to adapt from brawling to power boxing quite well as he did in his last fight against Karass. He also posses the ability to end the fight with a ko anytime. Karass showed in moments that Thurman is not as effective fighting going backwards instead he shines when hes first and lands his heavy hands. If Porter shows that he can handle Thurmans power he has a really good chance of winning this fight. Porter used to spar Pac so hes been in with someone with heavy hands and speed but it was sparring. I think this will be key as i don't recall Porter fighting a power puncher like Thurman. I slightly favor Porter taking it by decision in a trenchwar.
