Ruslan vs Pacquiao is a good match up. Offcourse anyone has a chance to beat each other. Ruslan will be there for Manny to get hit the question is if Ruslan hit Pacquiao with his best punch and how Manny will react to it. If both can take punches Pacquiao will have a better chance to win because of speed and ring generalship.

This is probably one of the only reasonable posts in this thread! I feel that Provodnikov could possibly stop Pac. But if Pac can do any of the above you just posted he can come out on top. If his chin holds up to Ruslan constantly trying to shut off his exits it can get interesting. Some posters bring up how Pac showed off his movement with Rios and compare that to this fight. This fight can suprise us on both ends.

Wish I had bank to bet everyone on here At least I'm betting real money here at my job when and if this fight happens. Winning $1000 off of the Canelo/Mayweather fight was hilarious, everyone was seriously going for the guy.. I never understood why everyone believed in the hype of Canelo! At least against Mayweather that is. Stop following Promotions and watch the actual skills in a fighter. Especially everyone on here!

On the inside where Ruslan shines, his punches are thrown very quick and tight. Now he looked quick enough in the Bradley fight, but in the Alvarado fight it was obvious he gained speed. How can you possibly explain why he has alot of speed though? All I can say is I have watched many of Ruslans fights, and he had an obvious boost in speed his last 2 fights. The man is fast, he is not a slow power puncher. He has power and speed, ugly combination.

Pacman has the boxing skills edge, but I really believe the speed is equal down the middle. Provodnikov has the power edge no doubt. I think it will be interesting to see how any great boxer reacts to Provodnikov's blows. This fight will also depend on how much Provo has improved on his game. Not the other way around, Pac is not like the monster from 08'-09'

Thanks for the detailed response. I agree Provodnikov (RP) looked faster in the Alvarado fight but Bradley has much faster reflexes than Alvarado which gave the illusion that RP's speed is improving. If RP was indeed faster I think we can chalk this up to his being 7 lbs lighter in the Alvarado match. Now, Alvarado was winning the fight through Rounds 7 due to techical skill but it was RP's superior physical strength and iron chin that turned the tide in his favor not superior speed. But you're right, RP does have good hand speed. Although I'd rate Danny Garcia as the all around better fighter, I think RP has better hand speed.

We both agree that Pacquiao is the better boxer. I think we can also agree that Pacquiao is on the decline and Provodnikov is improving; also Pac's KO at the hands of Marquez makes him more vulnerable than before to being knocked out. So clearly Provodnikov is a very live underdog in the fight; but this is where we part ways in this discussion. If you consider the Compubox stats for the following fights: Pacquiao vs. Bradley; Provodnikov vs. Bradley; Provodnikov vs. Alvarado; Alvarado vs. Rios; and Rios vs. Pacquiao. I believe this is enough to make the case for Pacquiao's superior speed. I realize that Compubox does not tell the whole story of a fight (Example: Bradley vs. Provodnikov) but we can use it as an indicator, which in this case IMO they clearly illustrate that Pac is the quicker more efficient fighter.

My last point, both Bradley and Alvarado pretty much hit RP at will and neither of those guys have the power of Pacquiao which may make RP a bit more tentative with his raging bull technique should he fight Pac.
