Gamboa has fallen off quite a bit due to his inactivity and lack-luster performances but it would be a great fight to make that could be Mikey Garcia's coming out party to stardom.

I expect he's referring to Froch but obviously it's impossible to tell until they actually vote.
Ward really only has 4-5 good wins.

Kessler, Abraham, Bika, Froch. I don't rate Dawson, since he was at a weight he hadn't been in 6 years and a full 7 lbs south of his weight. Had it been even a CW from 170-172, I'd probably feel different. And then Edwin is a decent win at best.

I love Ward, big fan, but the guy needs to go to 175 ASAP

Donaire could possibly get to 130 later this year as well. I think Garcia could KO Gamboa for sure..

Kind of messed up that he couldn't go to at least 171 to meet Dawson. Ward doesn't seem to be the guy who will give any concessions to his opponents. Most of his fight have been in his backyard and Hes not keen on fighting Froch in England for big bucks. If he moves up Hes looking at the winner of Kovalev-Stevenson and Hes eventually looking at GGG if he stays at 168. Good fights to come for Andre,

These are personal opinions though, we can say things like that for Pacquiao and Floyd too or anyone's record to be honest but the names are on there and none of the guys were ancient.

Regarding Edwin, he was #7 and the second best US SMW at the time at the fight was at 170lbs coming off an impressive KO win of Grachev (who took Bute 12). It is a decent win, and could get better as Edwin's career progresses.

More than decent run for a 29 year old, he'll probably secure another couple of big names every year.
But Ward will never capture the audience's imagination. He'll be the Larry Holmes of this era.

I dont think we're ever going to see another Floyd or PAC in our lifetime. Its the perfect storm of opposites where both fighters are ATG relatively the same age , the 2 biggest PPV draws in their era in the same weight class with polar opposite styles, personalities, backgrounds, fan bases creating a rivalry thats Currently unmatched in sports.

We'll witness other PPV Mega star boxers but not what we have now. They'll have their own Fighting Styles with their own background and create their own history.

That's not Floyds little brother, it's some love child bastard of Floyd sr! He's like super middleweight or LHW and what I hear he's ****... He only found out Sr was his dad a few years ago and took up the sport late

Mikey Garcia, Kazuto Ioka and Chocolatito Gonzalez are all guys with tremendous ability and have the time to do big things in their respective careers all being under 27 years of age!
