the article isn't complete. here's the continuation.

‘History which cannot happen without either of us,” the Comeback fighter of 2013 continued. “Never mind legacy. Meron na kami parehong maiiwang pamana sa boksing at sports sakaling mag-retiro kami (Each of us has left his own legacy in the sport if and when we retire). History is different, To make an expected record of most number of people to watch the actual fight and on television, heard over radio and read in the newspapers is what will remain in the history of boxing.”

Pacquiao said he prefers to be referred to as a mad dog chasing for a bone since he is pursuing something that would make him serve the people and make them happy in the one thing he knows - boxing.

“Rather than a dog running with its tail wrapped between his legs in utter show of fear,” Pacquiao philosophized. “At least ako, naghahanapo ng mas marami pang laban, hindi ako tumatakbo sa laban,’ the Pacman declared. (I look for more fights, I don’t run away from them.)

Posters who say Manny's legacy is over Floyd's in the sport of boxing are completely insane. It's easy to dislike Mayweather for some of the things he does and says but don't let the dislike and "hate" (a word I don't like to use) cloud your judgments. Manny spent his prime fighting guys who were guys Mayweather beat already, losers or fighters that did not look great in their fights prior. When was the last time Manny fought any fighter(s) who was coming off of a solid win? Bradley and Marquez and you see what happened to him. Floyd has fought actual WW's and Hoya,(154) Canelo at 154 (catch weight but Canelo was not drained) coming off of actual solid wins. I mean, I'm sick of them talking about this fight and all the coverage it continues to get because it's not going to make it happen, but in no way is Pacquiao's legacy more defined then Mayweather's in boxing. Floyd is the more impressive of the two. Khan is a crappy fight if it happens.

After 4 years Manny has given up, dont blame Manny

Everytime he agreed to Floyd's demands, another one was given so Floyd could avoid the fight

Floyd needs to man up and stop ducking

EXACTLY! Manny talks all this about fighting Mayweather and that Mayweather doesn't want to fight him but when he is asked the question when it counts he says it is up to Bob Arum. Manny is full of it. Dude had 2x's to make the fight and he backed out.

            Pacquiao ducks, it's so obvious.

I don't remember waking up from a cryogenic sleep but when did Manny Pacquiao agree to testing 14 days before the fight? Or when did he negotiate the 40Mil offer he got from Mayweather? Where have I been?

Bradley, marquez, Rios are better then Ortiz, Guerrero and Khan IMO...
Both have good wins over Oscar and Cotto..Pac has Margaritaand Floyd has Canelo(who he should have fought at 154 after making a big deal of it vs Cotto).
They're both legends at the end of the day in my book BUT the real legacy defined is who wins between the 2. If it happened in 2010 when both were at the top of the welterweight division it would have meant more but Manny is not shot like people claim and it's still the only fight that matters for Floyd. And BTW, Manny beat Bradley handily..

so they are only drained if pac fights em. gotcha. yeah you're a great poster dude but your mind is fogged with your hate for pacquiao, making you think irrationally.

also, Pac's resume before he even MOVED UP to 147 is HOF credentials. Before he moved up to 147 didn't he own wins over 2x JMM 2x Barrera and 2x Morales?

when mayweather moved up, he fought gatti, sharmba mitchell and carlos baldomir.

when pacquiao moved up he fought delahoya, hatton, and cotto.

when all said and done both are top 20 atg but pacquiao will have the greater legacy. sorry to break it to ya

Why didn't bpp add the part where pacquiao said

"Rather than a dog running with its tail tucked between it's legs in an utter show of fear, I at least look for more fights. I don't run away from them! "
