Maidana never would have got the fight most likely without the rematch clause..The question is who the **** is Broner to even get a rematch clause put in a contract. .

He WAS the WW champion Einstein... Most of the time a champion will have a rematch clause in his contract just in case. Imagine the arrogance of Maidana's team coming in and saying "Thanks for the opportunity to fight for YOUR world title that we are NOT the #1 contender for but when we beat you (and we are confident we will beat you) we will not give you a rematch".
