Froch is playing up the villain now. He lost a ton of respect from the Groves fight and he now probably needs the rematch more than Groves does. Carl Froch does have other options in the division but he'll lose a lot of the fan support he has if he's seen ducking the Groves rematch. As far as I'm concerned this is Froch trying to promote the fight.

we all want to see the rematch because the first fight was so damn good.
However, it is up to froch, he won fair and square imo and if he wants to go the ward route, and come back to Groves who would blame him.
People are bleating on about..why would ward give froch a rematch....? well for a feckk load of cash
I can see that hearn is pulling the strings on this one, since groves jumped ship he will give him nothing. when groves joined warren degale was obv pished at not getting his rematch, which may have been part of his split.
Groves truly is a hypocrite and not the big star he thinks he is.....yet(but hopefully will be)

You are ridicolous,CALZAGHE was well ahead on points vs everybody in his premature stoppage as you watch those;when ref stopped the fight of CALZAGHE was because he was destroying the guy not like fraud FROCH vs GROVES. NOBODY IN THE WORLD TOOK CALZAGHE TO SCHOOL LIKE GROVES DID WITH FROCH,NO BERNARD DID IT,NO ROY DID IT,NO KESSLER DID IT,etc.....!!! I didn't see FROCH give a rematch to DIRRELL in USA after that very close fight with hometown decision. FROCH IS DELUSIONAL LIKE HIS BOXING STYLE,GROVES IS THE MAN;i'm pretty sure his wife is behind this decision...i watch them in the kitchen talk about GROVES:

well said - Joe is a true great and recognised through the Boxing World in both the Uk and outside the Uk, but ever since I arrived here in the UK 15 years ago all the Froch fans look every way to discredit him and his accomplishments. Well what are they saying now when Froch's true colours are showing - Joe has been a proud Boxer for this nation and always carried the flag with pride and dignity - believe you me Joe is well respected in the States and these people know there boxing.

Have you actually watched the Groves-Anderson fight? Awful stoppage and about as bad as the Froch-Groves stoppage. Anderson deserves a rematch as much as Groves does, even if it doesn't make as much sense financially.

The reason there wasn't any calls for a Froch-Taylor rematch is A) Taylor didn't desperately want it and B) they were both in the Super Six tournament, so there was a chance it would happen there. Also, there wasn't anything dodgy about that fight, Froch just managed to get him late. No squeaky tight decision or dodgy stoppage.

Abraham battered him? Are you serious? Do you watch boxing, or just comment on it?

As for the Dirrell rematch, Froch couldn't give it immediately thanks to the Super Six, even if he wanted to. Would you say Dirrell is in a place to get a rematch now?

Froch should give Groves a rematch for three reasons:

1. It makes sense financially
2. The stoppage was dodgy
3. Groves deserves it

Froch does make a good point though, about Groves being a hypocrite. This fight is going to happen anyway, this is just hype.

How relevant is Anderson? Not very, fight wasn't really like Groves-Froch and it was just a domestic dust-up. Anderson hasn't gotten anywhere since and I believe is out for a period with a ban.

After the Abraham fight, it was obvious Taylor was past it. That was a fight which, in my mind now, was a clear victory for Abraham. It was a negative concerning Froch's meeting with Taylor.

The Dirrell fight just shows Froch's egotistical self. If he wasn't a warrior in the ring, people would not like him.

People act like Groves is some kind of angel. The guy taunted Kenny Anderson relentlessly, promised him a rematch, withdrew with a suspect injury, and then dumped the Lonsdale belt in the trash.



He's a great fighter, sure, but his attitude stinks.

Is this really Groves doing?
