Maybe he thinks that this is creating some public pressure on Floyd to get the deal done, but the irony of the whole thing is no one needs to pressure Floyd. Floyd has wanted this all along. If people saw the terms that have been negotiated, it's clear Floyd wants to make a deal. He doesn't need this PR campaign to convince him that he needs to make the deal. He wants to do it for himself, for the fans, for the sport of boxing, and no one needs to pressure him into making that fight. Then you start to wonder if someone is consistently mischaracterizing the negotiations and trying to demean the other side, is that person really trying to make a deal? Someone who's trying to make a deal doesn't go out and publicly misrepresent what's going on with the negotiations. It's a complete mystery to us.

All of this misinformation and mischaracterization certainly doesn't help. I think up to this point, we're sort of gritting our teeth and trying to keep focused on our goal, and that continues to be our goal, but at a certain point, you can only take so much of the misstatements before you have to speak out and set the record straight.
If you look at this strictly in business terms, it makes sense. HBO has a better negotiating position than Showtime. Arum's smear/duck campaign put HBO in even better position. Showtime is definitely trying to make the fight happen without giving up too much to HBO because Showtime has the A-side fighter. But the public and time is on HBO's side. This isnt a clear cut situation of a-side/b-side.

Hmm, gloss over the meat and run to the hyperbole.

What did floyd say when he "retired", "ima retire from boxing. boxing is not going to retire me" then when he comes out of his personal "retirement" he has this interview where he states that cotto, margo and mosley all "beat each other but none of them beat me" pathetic stuff right there

There is a word or phrase for these types of people, they are called "fairweather fighters", "fairweather soldiers/warriors". They only fight when all possible advantages are stacked in their favor and they KNOW or BELIEVE they will win. "Bad weather?" fck it, not fighting. "The sun is in my eyes" fck it not fighting. This type of shtt existed all through-out history it's soo easy to spot them nowadays.. Minimum risk for maximum reward is the name of the game today and Mayweather is just another Fairweather fraud.

Let's face it...Floyd is not a true warrior...maybe hints of it when he was younger but not for the past 6 years...Lets see him go up in weight and challenge a middleweight...a true middleweight...hell no...

Lets see Pacquiao move up to MW. They both weigh the same on fight night.

Does floyd relise his fight night weight? IMO floyd is naturally 1 weight class bigger than manny. Floyd doesn't worry about weight at all were as manny eats his way up to WW.

Well, gee..Pac has already moved up 8 times in weight and won belts in all....just saying, that sounds more like a "best ever" than some guy who keeps his 0 by avoiding tougher challenges...just saying
