        3rd fight 2011
        4th fight 2012

Manny still could not pass the Marquez test. If Arum does try to make the fight with FMJ, they must think he is old now. The problem is Manny is not discipline. FMJ is going to destroy him.
IMO embarrass might be a more fitting word, but ok.

Funny how Floyd has two fights left and it was reported he is demanding a rematch clause.

Wouldn't be surprised if he honestly threw the fight so he could rob the suckers we call the boxing public of another 100 mill.
          Sure sounds fishy to me.
While I couldn't see this, I could see him making it look harder than it actually has to be to keep interest in a rematch.

When it comes to negotiations Top Rank President and Owner Bob Arum is tough and fair, but this time around after five years of trying to make a mega fight between his fighter Manny Pacquiao and pound 4 pound champion Floyd Mayweather, Arum is willing to step aside to make the fight happen.
Karceno: Hi Are you doing today, I heard a rumor that you are willing to step aside to make the fight happen is that true?
Arum: "Yes, it's true, if that's what it takes to make this fight happen for the public then, sure."

Karceno: So you are willing to not have the Top Rank logo on the biggest fight in boxing history?
Arum: "Look if it makes business sense, then why not, it's been long enough I'm willing to do my part to make the fight happen for my fighter, and for the people, that's what Top Rank do."
Karceno: So what about this Floyd buying you out for ten million dollars?
                    Arum: "Completely not true"
Karceno: Then there is this Muhammed story about buying the fight is this real or a joke?
Arum: "His first name is Akbar, and he is no joke, it's very serious."
Karceno: That must be one heck of a check
Arum: "I'm not going to talk about numbers, but if it gets the fight on then we are all for it."
Karceno: How close are we to getting this finalized, just a percent?
Arum; "Who the f*** knows, we've done our part the rest is all on Floyd now."

Floyd wants winner of fight with Pacquiao to get 20% more in rematch

AUSTRALIAN promoter and TV and radio host Peter Maniatis believes that pressure from CBS, Showtime and HBO Sports will prompt undefeated pound-for-pound No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr. to battle Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquiao.

Maniatis, who was in Macau for Pacquiao’s one-sided demolition of previously undefeated World Boxing Organization light welterweight champion Chris Algieri, said he learned that both sides are talking and that the purse split stands at $100 million for Mayweather and $60 million for Pacquiao, with Manny’s handlers saying they are wiling to take less.

Maniatis told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that with a slice of the pay-per-view, both fighters are expected to rake in additional big money.

At the same time, Maniatis said Mayweather, who reportedly demanded a rematch clause initially, “now wants the winner of their first fight to get an additional 20 percent in a rematch,” obviously believing he would beat Pacquiao.

The Australian promoter said Mayweather can no longer run away from a Pacquiao fight, which the world has been clamoring for the past four years, indicating that if it doesn’t push through as hoped for by May or June next year, the public will surely lose interest.

Maniatis said he believes both Mayweather and Pacquiao “have slipped, that’s why they have to do it now.”

He said Pacquiao put on a decent performance against Algieri even though the American “was running all fight long. If Algieri pressed forward, Manny would have knocked him out.”

Maniatis noted that Mayweather may have beaten Marcos Maidana twice, but didn’t look as impressive against the slow-footed Argentine. He noted that Mayweather’s footwork, which was an asset in the past, had gone which bolstered the claim of Pacquiao’s celebrated trainer Freddie Roach that Mayweather’s “legs are gone,” even as he predicted “Manny will knock him out.”
