That's a dumb ******* way to look at it, "they will be ok, because parent company has money".. CBS makes money because their divisions make money and when showtime is showing a loss it will be people's jobs,, if you think the people at showtime are fine with losing money because they are owned by a big rich company, then you have very little understanding of the business world.. If Floyd deal is costing money, then heads will roll in the future at showtime, those jobs won't be spared just because cbs owns them

.......................and then after that he proceeded to chase Manny for a fight until they told him no "my eye is bleeding and I need a new outdoor arena". Can try all you want lil man, can't negate the facts though.

Don't even bother. It's mind boggling that people actually agree with his logic. I thought it was pretty common ****ing sense that no one wants to lose money. No matter how small the amount is.

Money is what keeps the fight from happening. Floyd wants the large take of a 60/40 split. Bob wants it 50/50. Floyd will never agree to a 50/50. Bob Arum must give ground and take the 40% but he will not agree to anything less than 50%. It's a waiting game. Bob, pick up that phone and negotiate with Al Haymon. Take the 40% and get this thing done already. Enough waiting. Mayweather is the A side now. Pacquiao lost to Marquez, he is the B side in this matchup.

Haha yeah I know. I'm still waiting on any breakdown of what Showtime is actually losing.

Do you understand the term market share?

Do you understand that short run gain is not the be all and end all to a large corporation, that is publicly traded, long term gains are almost always done at the expense of short run costs.

Your view on the topic is so short sighted that it is comical.
