I think people want the fight announced to make it official. All the paperwork is probably done but we need to get this weight off our shoulder.

Don't know what Floyd is waiting for. Is there a perfect moment to announce a fight? Once it's announced it will spread like wild fire.

Hopefully he announces it before FNF and ShoBox so they can talk about it tonight.

Regardless of who or what's actually holding up the announcement, the principal financial parties involved must be going INSANE right now that every day is another day lost from a promotional standpoint. I realize a lot of people feel the fight "sells itself", but when you consider the guaranteed payouts on the table for this one, you would think there are some very agitated people right now, moreso than just the hardcore boxing fan, that want to get the ball rolling on that front sooner than later.

promotion will be crucial to bring in the non fans and casuals. considering boxing is one of the least watched sports in the world right now. boxing is considered to be a cheap sport that has no value and isn't even considered a real sport at all in reality. competitive cliff diving gets more love and attention than boxing because boxing is such a worthless pathetic sport and the hardcore people who watch this sport are equally pathetic and losers.

so a lot of promotion will be needed to convince a lot of the casuals and non fans to watch pacquiao vs floyd because boxing is such a cheap corrupt crap sport that no one should really care about ever.

the promoters and marketing team etc. will really need a lot of time and work to promote this poop fest of a sport to the people who have actual lives.

By all accounts, the fight is done. No one is holding the fight back. I don't believe that Pacquiaos camp really has an issue with the 5/2 date. My first post after reading what Steven A. Smith said was "that's bull****". All we are waiting on is Mayweathers announcement.
