OK... They might take a July date as well; and a date in late autumn for the rematch -- because there will be a rematch clause...
... But Floyd has his habits (the September date included)...

I know people say there is very little time to promote the fight. I think they only do major city stops such as LA and NY and we will see a commercial everyday to the point you get sick and tired of it and just want the fight to happen already.

ONCE AGAIN, Two of Floyd's May fights were announced in Late February and happened in May no problem.

His last 4 May fights have.

          Mosley 2010
          Cotto 2012
          Guererro 2013
          Maidana 2014

All in May and were all announced late Feb.

Mosley and Cotto both doing great numbers.

... none was a Showtime-HBO fight. None was a Pac fight. None was a $200 mln fight... just none...

I agree that this fight is uncharted territory with casual interest, but to act like a huge promotion wouldn't help the ppv buys is kinda ridiculous. The fighters will be focused on training for 2 months, so that leaves very little time for interviews, press conference... You know things where money may can talk **** and really hype a fight.

people are still arguing over the May date?

This fight sells regardless of when it's announced They don't even need a 3-4 city tour.

Silence is golden and no news is good news in the @FloydMayweather @MannyPacquiao talks, for those who want the fight anyway.

Why would Floyd even start negotiating with Team Pac, when he damn well knows, that Bob Arum will be involved?? This is beyond ****** at this point.
