That was a grueling fight for both guys and wasn't close to being the pasting that a lotta you want it to be.

That said, AB isn't yet a welter and he'd do himself some good to listen to Floyd and take his ass back down in weight and start rebuilding his career. Because that Chino fight was the kinda fight that ruins young fighters. And even if he beats Chino, he'd suffer way too much damage for basically nothing.
    basically nothing?

huh? Is Broner fighting for free in a rematch?

Al Haymon wouldn't make that fight happen. He knows that Matthysse is even more dangerous than Maidana, but if it were to happen, it'd be a good fight.

Here's the card that I'd like to see for the May 3rd PPV card.

      Mayweather vs Maidana
Garcia vs Matthysse II or Paulie(147 debut)
      Khan vs Porter
      Broner vs Guerrero

Either is terrible. Personally, I have no interest in seeing Floyd fight anyone at 47 nott named Bradley, Pac, or Garcia.

Let's hope so, but from a financial standpoint, Mayweather-Alexander didn't made sense and it would've been a boring chess fight. Guerrero made more sense since he's Mexican-American(even though Mexicans booed him). It's the same thing this time around, both Maidana and Khan have exciting styles, but Khan has a bigger following even though Maidana has done more recently to earned a shot at Floyd. He'll pick Khan because it makes more sense financially. He's using Maidana as a smokescreen just like he did Devon Alexander.

I hope Broner fights Khan at 140 on 3 May and Floyd fights a real opponent like .......? Oh hell it doesn't really matter who Floyd fights, he makes them all look like nobodies like RJJ used to. What matters is whether it can do numbers. A lot of people are screaming that they aren't buying Khan vs Floyd and he and GBP better pay attention. Send Oscar with another briefcase of cash to sign Manny away from TR again, especially in wake of his tax issues. Ps imo the Broner wouldve struggle with the upper brass at 140 just as he has at 147. & I don't even think Chico and Paulie are top 5 ww but just like ponce de leon the came to fight not to be cannon fodder or a spring board for Broner. Floyd is telling him correctly whe he advises he to try to refonnect with the fans. I don't kno that he ever had much of a connection in the first place. Lastly I would love to see Broner and Berto go at it. I would definately take Berto in that one. But it would likely make a helluva scrap. I kno Berto has to have read or heard that people are using his name as an intended insult to Broner. That would motivate the hell outta me.

I'm talking in terms of moving his career forward dumbass. Maidana is a fringe welterweight. So if AB beats him in a rematch what does it mean? He re-establishes himself as a fringe welterweight. That's pretty ****** considering he's 24 and would likely much higher up the foodchain at 35 or even 40.

It will last longer, but I'm not sure the Maidana fight is much better than Khan. They are both easy money, but at least Khan would give Floyd a different look. I'm tired of opponents coming in that only have a punchers chance. It is what it is though. I'm hoping Garcia or Thurman has next for September.
