Comments Thread For: Angulo's Trainer Responds To Team Canelo on Fight

Virgil Hunter, the trainer of junior middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo (22-3, 18KOs), wanted to respond to some of the recent comments that appeared on krikya360.com from Eddy Reynoso, the manager/trainer of former champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs).

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has presented several options to Canelo, and his team, for a March 8th return at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the fight.

Can't believe it could be PPV......

Hopefully it winds up like Broner-Maidana on regular Showtime.

I don't mind this fight, given Canelo is coming off a loss as well, but he better fight Molina or Lara after.

I'd rather Molina or Lara but this should be fun while it lasts, Angulo is definitely getting stopped here.

Ohhhh so it was a scratched Cornea that had angoulo's face all lumpy . The ringside doctor seemed really concerned with that hematoma over his eye thou.

Seems like they're trying to get rid of the lesser of two evils pitting Lara against Molina but it's cool cause they do have unfinished business so it works out.

I honestly don't think it's a given that Canelo wins this fight, could be a contested fight.

Agree, Angulo dropped Lara twice, but lost beacause of his ****ty defense, i haven't seen any improvements with Virgil. I even thought he was done after Kirkland, because that was a career changing beating he took.
Now against Canelo, im was never sold on him, but Angulo will push him for sure.
