Comments Thread For: Froch: Groves Can't Cut it at World Level, I'd KO Him

IBF/WBA "regular" super middleweight champion Carl Froch is looking for other options in the near future - and those options do not include a rematch with domestic rival George Groves (19-1, 15KOs). Last weekend, Groves dropped Froch (32-2, 23KOs) hard in the first round and rocked the veteran several times in the course of the fight. Groves was ahead on all three of the official cards when Froch stunned him in the ninth and the referee, Howard Foster, jumped in for a controversial ending.

        Froch owes Groves a rematch.

In other words, I'm hoping for a Ward rematch, if not, I'll fight Groves again.

Shame, I want to see him fight Groves again next, because I think he'd do better next time. He didn't look himself on Saturday, looked intimidated, shaky, a little off key. I'd bet him to do much better in a rematch.

Well yes technically...In this case technically means the ref trips over Groves, grabs him and stops the fight....I think Carl lost a few of his marbles in that first round. At the end of the fight he has no recollection of ever being dropped.....Stick a fork in Froch. Guy is done.

Pretty sure the last thing anyone thought seeing Groves fight last weekend was "man, this dude couldn't cut it on the world level." Nah, he definitely could. He had you on noodle legs in round 1.

Groves can cut it - well he could if the fights were only 7 rounds.

I'd like to see Hopkins vs Froch. Hopkins is eager to have a big fight and I dont think Froch gives Groves a rematch
