Comments Thread For: George Groves To Carl Froch: Fight Me Again or Retire!

George Groves has told Carl Froch to fight him again or retire as the fall-out from their controversial world title fight continues.

Groves was pulled out of their super middleweight scrap in Manchester on Saturday by referee Howard Foster, who deemed the ninth-round punishment he was being subjected to was too much.

Groves - ahead on the scorecards and with a knockdown of Froch in his favour - was furious, insisting he had been fit to continue.

Having started the night as the villain after some inflammatory pre-fight behaviour he left the ring to cheers, with Froch the one being booed.

The more I think about it, the less I want to see a rematch.

Froch should have a final fight against Chavez Jr to make lots of money and retire on a win, I think a fight with Groves or GGG proves too risky.

and Groves can fight anyone right now and make money purely on the fact he was beating an elite fighter who he was only the second ever person to put on the mat.

So basically you dont want a rematch because you're afraid of Froch losing

Who the fuck does Groves think he is, trying to tell Froch what to do? He was the challenger, who got stopped. He needs to remember his place. Carl Froch has earned the right to do what he likes.

Does Chavez Jr. even have that kind of money making ability anymore?
Pretty sure he mad more against Kessler than he would in a Chavez Jr. fight

Yeah maybe, I just remember that Hearn was talking to HBO about it for his next fight about a month back.

I'm a Groves fan, I'd love him to go in and do it and think he would win in the rematch but if he loses he'll be out of contention for a world title for a while!

Exactly. The same Groves who gloated about not giving DeGale or Anderson rematches.

I heard about it... all i know is Chavez Jr. is in free fall since the Chavez jr. loss.
Bad outing, the drugs.... I heard only 3k people went to the Vera fight.
Arum needs to revamp this dude and sell him out quick.
And honestly, the only person I see him gifting too is Ward so he could sign him.
