The Cotto that boxed and moved would've always had trouble coping with Margarito's pressure and power. Cotto lost some power when he moved to 147 and couldn't keep Margarito off of him.

Him having the tendency to fade late, with a bit of a shaky chin, would've always given Margarito a chance for the late KO.

not to mention once Cotto moved to 147 his aggressive style which resembled current GGG, turned into a more patient boxer/puncher

a one-eyed Margarito was coming on strong in the last 2 rounds in the rematch (yes, Cotto won damn near every round, but it's a 12 round fight and Margarito had Cotto running from him)
