if cotto fights canelo like he did floyd he will coast to a UD in favor for him, but if he fights canelo like he did in his last fight with Roach he will get taken out in the late rounds.

Roach is not capable of teaching defense at all and it seems like there overall plan is just to fight it out which cotto will fall short on after he gets clipped a few to many times,

it really sucks because i know cotto is hungry and i know he has what it takes to beat canelo but with a inept trainer in his corner with a wrong gameplan he is just going to get fed.

Im a fan of both fighters, followed Cotto since his debut, and Canelo for all of his televised fights. I honestly believe that Canelo is too big for Cotto. They both have excellent jabs and left hooks, but I believe that Canelo's youth, size, power, speed and hunger will be too much for Cotto at this stage. It's going to be bitter sweet for me because I've been a fan of both guys for a while, but I'm going to have to say Canelo wins via TKO in 9 or less.

I dont know because for the third Marquez fight Pac was an all out aggressive fighter and it was still pretty damn close. Its not like he even went out and bum rushed Delvin. He used the same pressure against Floyd but was more determined to go to the body and only really turned it up because he was obviously getting to him with them body shots.

If Cotto boxes early and goes to the body I think he could stop Canelo late. IF Floyd had decent power like Cotto he would have stopped Canelo.

This has been my line thinking; the Joel Diaz version has great shot at beating Canelo but the Freddie Roach version get his ass beat.

If Cotto can manage to take Canelos shots for 12 rounds, he has a shot.

If its apparent Canelo can hurt Cotto enough to make him hesitant in the first four rounds I can see him stopping Cotto.

Canelo likes to counter and isn't focused on being fleet footed, he can catch Cotto coming in with his very hard combinations.

50/50 fight unless Cotto just can't take the punches, but if Cotto can well then as long as he doesn't gas he could pull it off.. I would assume Roach is trying to condition Cotto as well as he can for the style he wants him to use.
