It will not look good if Bam Bam gets bombed out in the first round.

You've been boxing since you were a kid, you have a style that defines you and won't change substantially from fight to fight. I'd say 50-60 rds tops per fight to get the in ring conditioning and work on the fight plan is enough.
Agreed. Of course it's different from fighter to fighter how much they spar. John Scully has said on this board, that he sparred a lot. Mikkel Kessler also spars many rounds even more than Rios. On the other hand one can mention Holyfield, who, at least not late in his career, hardly spars before his fights.

I think it's a matter of getting rid of rust and get the timing in place.

But boxers need to be careful. There's a life to be lived after the gloves have been hanged up.

It's not going to matter. If 80% Manny shows up, it'll be a massacre.

That's way too many rounds, it's like having almost 13 full fights in a spam of 5-6 weeks

Sparring a bunch of randoms isnt going to prepare rios for pac at all lol. THats the problem with fighting p4p guys like pac, mayweather, marquez etc. No sparring partner on the world can emulate them well. While pac can go find any bum that throws a lot of punches and boom you got a good rios imitator.

yeah i agree, that was when pacman was on steroids, weight drained margarito at his typical catchweight fights and even failed to even try to make the 150 limit by being a sissy and staying at 144.6 lbs instead of trying to man up and move up in weight and fight antonio at 154 for the real title. that was just a bogus stunt to give pac a belt.

i agree. those fighters are elite for a reason. but any help will help you even a little bit by getting your timing down and muscle reflex to doing those combinations needed to beat your opponent.
